Do you take special orders?
We will try hard to get whatever it is that you need provided we can find it with one of the suppliers we are currently dealing with. Most suppliers require a minimum order so if we can only find what you need from a new supplier, your individual order likely won\'t be big enough to meet their minimum. The exception would be if we decided to carry this supplier on a full time basis.
Why does the site automatically calculate postage?
Our website is integrated with Canada Post. This means that you only pay exactly what the cost is from our postal code to yours. Each item online has been weighed and entered into our system. When you order, the system calculates the weight of all your items and only charges postage based on that.
Do I have to have a Paypal account in order to order yarn?
No, you don't. Paypal has the option of allowing you to pay with your personal credit cards without ever opening an account.
How do you convert yards to meters or meters to yards?
1 meter is equal to 1.0963 yards
1 yard is equal to 0.9144 meters
10 meters is equivalent to 10.96 yards (10 X 1.0963)
10 yards is equivalent to 9.144 meters (10 X 0.9144)

Why did you start an online yarn business?
I absolutely love hand painted yarn and love the fact that there are so many Indie Dyers out there, most of them one woman operations. I thought Pick Up Sticks could be the place where a lot of these amazing yarns were together in one place, making us truly, a one-stop shop for hand painted, hand dyed yarns. |
